Diana G. Loesch Fugate, 60, of Columbus, passed away at 5:09 a.m. Monday, May 28, 2018 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Diana was born January 22, 1958, in Columbus, the daughter of William and Bessie Mitchell Perdue.
She married Bruce A. Loesch, who preceded her in death.
She worked at Dorel Juvenile Group from 2002 until 2012.
Diana loved her grandchildren and enjoyed dancing with them.
She liked to attend local races in Brownstown, Salem and North Vernon.
Cooking for family and friends was one of the many things that she looked forward to. Family cookouts were exceptionally special to her.
Diana also loved to listen to music and plant flowers.
Survivors include her husband, Marcus E. Fugate; daughter, Angela Lucas of Columbus, son, Anthony (Amanda) Lucas of Seymour; grandchildren, Laquita Lucas, Mark Truitt, Bobby Truitt, Drake Lucas and Brody Lucas; stepdaughter, Kimberly Dawn Loesch; brother, Bob Perdue, and sister, Sharon Lovins — all of Columbus; nephews, Dustin Perdue, Derck Perdue, Kurt Lovins, and nieces, Katrina Perdue and Sarah Perdue.
Mrs. Fugate was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Bruce; sister, Jennifer Perdue; sister-in-law, Melinda Perdue, brother-in-law, Ronald T. Lovins; grandparents, Wilma F. Corpman, Virgil Jefferson Mitchell, Bewley and Gladys Perdue; and several aunts and uncles.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Dale Lucas officiating. Family and friends may call Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
