A local man was arrested on several drug-related charges and a warrant after an officer saw him inside a vehicle in the 700 block of California Street.
Officer Robert Mitchell saw Scott W. Bryant, 51, of 1327 Ninth St., in the vehicle at 2:55 p.m. Sunday, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman. Mitchell noted Bryant had a warrant for his arrest.
While searching Bryant’s clothing after the arrest, officers found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, Harris said.
Bryant was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant, jail officials said.
He was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $70,000, jail officials said.
