Police arrest 2 after traffic stop

Columbus police arrested two people on drug charges after a traffic stop.

Officer Drake Maddix saw Christina D. Sullivan, 42, of 2171 Lockerbie Drive, driving a vehicle in the 1700 block of Cottage Avenue at 2:40 a.m. Saturday and confirmed her license was suspended, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Maddix confirmed the license suspension after stopping the vehicle and speaking with Sullivan and passenger Ricky A. Schoonover, 30, of 822 Hutchins Ave., Harris said.

A police dog later alerted officers to the odor of narcotics coming from Sullivan’s vehicle, Harris said. Officers located methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and medication that was not prescribed to either of the two, Harris said.
