A Bloomington resident has been hired as the new director of Columbus City Utilities.
Scott Dompke was selected by the Columbus City Utilities Board on Monday for the position and will replace Keith Reeves, who is retiring after 38 years with the city.
Dompke comes to the city from GRW, an engineering, architecture and geospatial consulting firm, where he has worked for the last 17 years developing public works and water resource programs for utility and municipal clients. Dompke’s role focuses on planning and prioritizing of capital improvements and establishing stormwater programs.
Dompke, who will earn $120,000 annually in his new role, has also worked for the city of Bloomington, where he was a department head in public works and utilities. He will begin working for Columbus City Utilities July 2.
