INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana State Police are seeking help in identifying who may have shot at three vehicles in the area of Interstate 465 and Shadeland Avenue on the city’s east side Monday night.
Just before midnight Monday, troopers were sent to that area about shots being fired. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle with a bullet hole in the rear door and a broken back window.
Two additional vehicles were located that were also damaged by bullets.
Detectives from the Indiana State Police have spent today following up on leads and interviewing victims. Preliminary information leads investigators to believe this was not a random attack. Troopers believe two vehicles, whom were known parties to one another, fired shots at each other. Those shots also struck other vehicles. As of now there are no known injuries as a result of this incident, state police said.
Anyone with information about this case or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 317-232-TIPS (8477).
