A local woman was arrested on a warrant and a preliminary charge of possession of stolen property after she was spotted by Columbus police walking on a city street.
Officers saw Amber F. Harris, 33, Columbus, walking in the 1100 block of Washington Street at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
Officers confirmed there was a warrant for her arrest in Marion County and she was taken into custody, police said. While at the Bartholomew county Jail, officers located documents and property inside Harris’ wallet including Social Security cards, identification cards and a birth certificate that did not belong to her, police said.
Officers later determined that some of the property was reported stolen in 2017, police said.
