The event will be at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge, 2120 W. County Road 450S, which has a pond on the property, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Police and the middle school participants will be fishing from the bank and closely monitored paddle boats. The police department is providing fishing poles and will grill out for lunch.
Young people who attend do not have to have any prior fishing experience. Space is limited to the first 20 middle school student applicants.
