Our county’s finances have gone from famine to feast. For years we’ve heard how dire our finances were and we’ve watched our leaders argue with each other. We’re now flush with cash and ready to issue bonds for more.
Were things as dire as we were led to believe? Did a tax change occur and make the difference? Are we now more efficient? Are we being taxed fairly? Are our county taxes holding us down? Do we know?
Hanna Omar is willing to help and has the credentialed financial experience to shine a light on an opaque situation. The Bartholomew County Council and County Commissioners have been solid Republican for years and the same people keep getting reelected. Many people from the City of Columbus are unaware they are also part of the county.
We need a fresh and younger set of open eyes in county government. It’s time to elect Hanna Omar to the Bartholomew County Council!
