Duncan tied for 83rd after opening-round 71

Tyler Duncan carded a 1-under-par 71 Thursday and is tied for 83rd place in the weather-delayed Canadian Open with about a third of the field still needing to finish their opening rounds.

Duncan, a 2008 Columbus North graduate, shot 1-over 36 on the front nine and 2-under 35 on the back at Glen Abbey Golf Course in Oakville, Ontario. He had four birdies and three bogeys.

Robert Garrigus is the current leader after a 9-under 63. Adam Schenk is one shot back at 8-under 64, and Chris Stroud is two back at 7-under 65.
