Danny Weddle, 33, of Bloomington, owns a tiny house building business, but said he had been looking for an architecture program to get into. What attracted him to Indiana University’s new J. Irwin Miller Architecture Program was its blend of art and architecture, he said.
“It’s exciting to be part of a new thing and have ownership,” said Weddle, who is renting a room in Columbus to be close to his studies.
“It promises to be a full-spectrum experience,” he said.
Weddle said he could see himself using the knowledge learned in the master’s program to help make tiny homes more affordable, but also apply it to urban planning, such as eco villages and pocket neighborhoods.
