
COLUMBUS
Opal M. Enochs, 100, of Columbus died 10:20 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2018 at Hickory Creek at Columbus.
Opal was born in Brown County on June 17, 1918, the daughter of William and Nova Sturgon Huber.
She married Robert E. Enochs on June 18, 1953; he preceded her in death August 25, 1997.
She was a member of First Christian Church in Columbus, and was active in church Bible Study Group and Dorcus Circle.
She liked to read and enjoyed crafts.
She liked gospel music and was a devoted Johnny Cash fan.
Survivors include her daughters, Lana (Philip) Reinhard of Columbus and Beverly Wood of Terre Haute; stepson, Steve Enochs and stepdaughter, Margie Faure of Terre Haute; sister, Betty Woods of Nashville, Indiana; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and daughter, Shirley Adams.
A private graveside service will be conducted Friday at Garland Brook Cemetery with Pastor David Woods officiating. There will be no visitation.
