The Northside Middle School boys tennis team improved to 6-0 with a 5-0 win Tuesday against Franklin Township West.
Anvay Atram, Amrit Kar and Ronit Jha won singles matches for the Spartans. Matt Degner and Jaeheon Shim and Sid Jain and Param Patel won doubles matches.
The Northside JV cruised to a 5-1 victory. Luke Sequeira, Ben Genter, Sid Kamble, Darren Li and Leo Guo won singles matches.

Rebels edge North JV
The Columbus North junior varsity took its first loss of the season, a 13-12 setback at Roncalli.
Carter Ward kicked a 32-yard field goal in the third quarter and a 27-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. Cody Ruble then hit Giovani Alejandro for a 42-yard touchdown to bring the Bull Dogs (3-1) within a point, but the 2-point conversion run failed.
Panthers, Cubs tie
Jennings County Middle School played Madison to an 8-8 tie.
Drew Burkman hit Sam Burkman with a 35-yard touchdown pass for the Panthers.
CROSS-COUNTRY
Jennings sweeps invite
The Jennings County Middle School boys and girls swept the Panther Invitational. The boys won with a Perfect 15 points to 72 for St. Mary’s (Greensburg), while the Jennings girls outscored Jac-Cen-Del 26-56.
Eli Wahlman ran 12 minutes, 3 seconds, to lead a sweep of the top five spots in the boys race. Eddie Ray finished second in 12:17, followed by Logan Peacock in 12:27, Sam Fewell in 12:41 and Noah McFall in 12:44.
Halle Franks won the girls race in 14:14. Mary Gasper finished second in 14:21, while Macy Addis was third in 14:40, Katie Gasper seventh (15:20) and Kennedy Woods 13th (16:13).
VOLLEYBALL
Panthers sweep foes
The Jennings County seventh- and eighth-grade White teams both went 2-0 last week, while the seventh-grade Blue squad also claimed a victory.
The eighth-grade White team (6-9) beat Austin 25-22, 25-19 and Madison 25-24, 15-25, 15-13. Taylor Mowery served eight aces against Austin, and Abby McDonald had three aces against Madison.
The seventh-grade White squad (10-5) downed Austin 25-22, 25-11 and Madison 25-13, 25-15. Alyssa Simpson served six aces against Austin, and Charlee Barlow had six aces against Madison.
The seventh-grade Blue team beat Switzerland County 25-20, 25-23. Ellie Beineke pounded two kills, Paige Bailey recorded five assists and Trina Collins served seven aces.
