Richard and Christy Broadwater of North Vernon are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a special upcoming family dinner.
Mr. Broadwater and his wife, the former Christy Brownfield, were married Sept. 21, 1968 in Marriage Park Hills, Kentucky.
He worked many years at Courier Newsom Trucking, and at several other trucking companies in Columbus. He retired in Arizona.
She worked many years at Southern Indiana Orthopedics, and retired from Del Webb Hospital in Sun City West, Arizona.
They have two children, Stephani Thompson and Kerri Williams; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
