A local man wanted on a Bartholomew County warrant was arrested Monday after leading Columbus police on a foot chase.
Officers saw Steven J. Richcreek, 27, of 222 Cleveland St., at 8:35 p.m. Monday walking in the 800 block of Wilson Street, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
The officers confirmed a warrant for Richcreek’s arrest and attempted to speak with him, Harris said. Richcreek fled on foot and was apprehended a short time later in the area of Ninth and California streets, he said.
Richcreek was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement and the warrant, Harris said.
He was being held in jail in lieu of $10,000 bond, jail officials said.
