A Western-style “Roundup at the Roundabout” promotional gathering on the northwest edge of Mill Race Park near the new roundabout drew more than 200 people, many decked out in cowboy boots and hats, to raise money for the planned Mill Race Center.

1993

A report by a DePauw University history professor indicated two Bartholomew County bridges, the Pugh Ford bridge over the Flat Rock River on County Road 900N and the New Hope bridge over the same river on County Road 400N, were worth saving because of their historical significance.

1968

A multi-million-dollar expansion project for Columbus Center shopping center was to include a 70,000-square-foot department store, a twin-cinema theater and an A&P supermarket plus a complex of small shops.
