Columbus Police Department officers arrested a local man on a Bartholomew County narcotics-dealing warrant after observing him driving a vehicle on Monday evening.
At about 10:20 p.m., police observed Joshua R. Jeffares — 34, of 2455 Lakecrest Drive, Columbus — inside a vehicle that pulled up to a residence in the 6600 block of East County Road 120S.
Jeffares was arrested without incident and transported to the Bartholomew County Jail and booked on a preliminary charge of a Bartholomew County Superior Court I warrant for dealing in a narcotic drug (Level 4 Felony).
He was being held in lieu of $250,000 bond, jail officials said.
