IUPUC hosts high school speech competition
IUPUC will host the Columbus East High School speech competition Saturday.
The event will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Columbus Learning Center, 4555 Central Ave., and will include more than 200 students from around the state.
Students will compete in 18 different speech and debate events, said Anna Carmon, associate professor and director of the communication studies program. The top 10 competitors in each event will earn a ribbon with the top 10 teams earning trophies.
