SWIMMING
Bull Frog boys win
Columbus North split its swim competition with North Central on Saturday morning. The Bull Frogs won the boys meet 114-69, and the Panthers took the girls meet 116-67.
Nick Green won the 200-yard freestyle in 1 minute, 54.88 seconds and the 500 freestyle in 5:10.93, and Sam Russell took the 200 individual medley (2:00.44) and 100 breaststroke (1:01.12) to lead the Columbus North boys.
Also for the Bull Frogs, Kyan Jiles won the diving competition (181.45), Ayush Panda took the 100 freestyle (50.95) and Christopher Lee captured the 100 backstroke (57.73). Columbus North also won the 200 freestyle (1:34.80) and 400 freestyle (3:35.05) relays.
Betsy King led the Bull Frog girls with wins in the 50 freestyle (24.67) and 100 freestyle (54.25). Ella Anderson took the diving (193.05).
BOYS BASKETball
Crusaders rally for win
Columbus Christian trailed 22-20 at halftime before rallying for a 56-46 Southern Roads Conference win against Evansville Christian.
Conner Emily led the Crusaders (2-1, 2-0) with 31 points. Josh Jones added 15.
Trojans topple Panthers
ST. LEON — Jennings County opened its season with a 54-43 loss at East Central.
Josh Pettit led the Panthers with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Kent Biehle added 10 points, and Owen Miller had six assists.
Braves down Lancers
EDINBURGH — Edinburgh endured its first loss of the season, a 59-51 setback against Indian Creek.
Bryce Burton and Coltan Henderson each scored 13 points to lead the Lancers (1-1). Jordan Myers added 11.
Twisters top Cougars
GREENSBURG — Oldenburg Academy ran out to a 41-12 halftime lead and went on to hand South Decatur a 69-36 loss.
Lane Lauderbaugh led the Cougars (0-2) with 14 points. Wyatt Gatewood added nine.
Eagles drop a pair
LOOGOOTEE — Brown County came close to earning its first win of the season, but Pike Central pulled out a 47-45 victory in the consolation game of the Loogootee Tournament.
The Eagles (0-3) fell to Loogootee 58-35 in the morning opener.

Lancers rout Hornets
EDINBURGH — Edinburgh jumped out to leads of 27-1 after one quarter and 45-4 at halftime on its way to an 83-16 win against Medora.
Haven Link led the Lancers (3-2) with 17 points. Sidney Beier scored 16, while Annelise Lollar added 12, Alyssa Funkhouser had 11 and Callie Hancock finished with 10.
