Jennings County High School’s annual talent show allowed students to seize the spotlight and shine, and a service organization to raise money for a good cause.
The event, conducted Tuesday, was hosted by the Key Club.
Leading the master of ceremonies duties where seniors Sydney Burnett and Jaiden Grunden.
The winners of the night, by category, were:

Dance: Destiny Joray, Kaylee Ebinger and Annie Ertel dancing to their own music mix
Music: Austin Vaughn, who played “Gray Eagle” on the banjo
Music group: Sommer Spaugh and Heather Nelson singing “Sober” by Demi Lovato.
Three overall winners were named:
First: Rachel Morris, who sang “Salt and Light” by Lauren Daigle
Second: Charley Laman and Isabel Rodriguez, who sang a duet to “Let Me Be You Star”
Third: Boot Scooting Boogie Cowboys, who performed a dance. Members were Emy Ralston, Lauren Green, Kaylee Hammon, Hailey Sorrels, Dan Maschino and Zane Law.
The Key Club raised more than $600 for the Thirst Project, which helps build socially-conscious generations of young people while they try to end the global water crisis and provide safe drinking water to communities.
Key Club officers are: President, Ashley Follmer; vice president, Sydney Burnett; secretary, Alyssa Jines; and treasurer, Dakota Collins. Teachers Eric Kelley and Bill Ludwig are the faculty sponsors.
Anyone who would like to donate to the Thirst Project call the school and ask for Kelley to make a donation.
