Columbus police arrested a local man after he attempted to flee from officers who were investigating a restraining order violation.
Officers were sent to 3600 block of Nicholas Lane at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, where they located Dustin T. Cross, 32, of 400 S. Brooks St., inside a garage and confirmed a warrant for his arrest, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
Cross attempted to flee but was apprehended moments later, Harris said.
Cross was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital for medical clearance and then taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of invasion of privacy, resisting law enforcement and a warrant.
He was being held with no bond in the Bartholomew County Jail, jail officials said.
