Bob Wissman, legendary statistician for thousands of Bartholomew County Little League baseball players and generations of Columbus high school basketball, baseball and football teams, died at Four Seasons Health Care Center.

Sally Gibbs, of Columbus, purchased a winning Powerball ticket worth $100,000 at the Bigfoot store on 25th Street.

1969

The first two administrative staff members appointed for the new Southside Junior High School were Willis Hagan, a Northside Junior High School math teacher who was named assistant principal, and Scott Hill, a guidance director at Central Junior High School, who was chosen coordinator of student personnel.
