Around Town – March 27

Orchids to …

• Wendy and Arron Joslin at Joslin’s Cabinet Co., and their partners Mark, Rick, Robert and Joel, for the wonderful job on upgrading my kitchen, three baths and utility room at a reasonable price, from Greg.

• our duly elected president, who is a far better man than any and all those who have been trying for two years to bring him down.

• Allyson Loper, for the special music Sunday at Petersville United Methodist Church.

• Patty at Columbus Family Medicine for expediting papers I needed.

• those who remember that Michael Flynn lied to federal agents about discussing election-related sanctions with a Russian ambassador, the same person with whom Jeff Sessions met during the campaign.

Onions to …

• those who don’t realize that needing a therapy dog isn’t necessary when you’re kind.

• Democrats, liberals, progressives and other socialists.

• those for organizing events in Columbus having to do with beer and the unintended consequences of promoting drunk (or buzzed) driving.

• the state legislator who thinks its OK to not to protect people with “changeable” characteristics.

• Democrats who need to get over the fact that there was no Russian collusion.

• supporters of the president who don’t seem to understand that the Mueller report didn’t totally exonerate him, so the American public deserves to know why and should demand disclosure of the report.

• the person who submitted the Orchid regarding “unfounded allegations,” because from Mueller’s probe there have been charges made against former Trump advisers, lobbyists and many others, including Russians.

• congressional Democrats who need to accept their defeats and disappointments and start working on behalf of all Americans and not just their own party.

• the post office for not delivering my mail until 6:30 p.m.

Happy Birthday to …

• Mike Bova Jr. on No. 83, from your family.

• Dale Arnholt, from all your family.

• Jolene Lortz.

ANOTHER beautiful morning
