Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch, collaborating with the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration’s Division of Aging, has announced nominations are being accepted for the 2019 Golden Hoosier Award.
The award began in 2008 and honors Hoosier senior citizens for their lifetime of service and commitment to their communities.
To be eligible for the award, the nominee must currently be an Indiana resident, age 65 or older and have been a volunteer in their community for the past three years.
Deadline for submitting applications is April 29. Application forms are available at in.gov/lg/2532.htm. A ceremony to honor the selected individuals will be June 24 at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center.
