Emergency Management sponsors weather spotter class

Bartholomew County Emergency Management will have a free weather spotter class on Thursday giving away a limited number of weather radios to those who attend.

The class is open to the public, and a representative from the National Weather Service will give a presentation on how to spot certain weather events, including funnel clouds, according to Natalie Ferrenburg, Bartholomew County Emergency Management deputy director.

The class will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at Columbus Learning Center, 4555 Central Ave. No registration is required.
