The Indiana Department of Natural Resources will have its first of four free fishing days on Saturday. On Free Fishing Days, Indiana residents may fish public waters without a fishing license or salmon/trout stamp.
The days are a time for families to learn to fish together because adults don’t need a fishing license. Children age 17 and younger never need a license.
A Family Learn to Fish workshop will be at Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge in Seymour from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Advance registration is required by calling 812-522-4352 extension 12, or emailing donna_stanley@fws.gov.
