Bull Dogs rout Cardinals
INDIANAPOLIS — Eighth-ranked Columbus North dropped only five games in the five matches Monday in rolling to a 5-0 Conference Indiana win at Southport.
Ashlie Wilson blanked Camille Khelsean 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, Eva Chavalier beat Maddie Lukas 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and Shweta Srinivasan downed Baylee Watson 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles for the Bull Dogs (9-1, 2-0).
North’s Jaline Tay and Servane Cloteaux topped Aubrey Papovic and Rachel Dean 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles. Tiffany Fu and Mariana Martinez blanked Brooke Madin and Abby Dunn 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
Olympians top Panthers
Columbus East handed Jennings County its first loss of the season, a 4-1 decision.
Kathryn Hodzen beat Ellie Hearne 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, Megna Chari downed Reagan Brown 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and Louna Prince topped Carmen Kopitzke 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles for the Olympians (6-3). Cathrine Millwood and Cristina Marco beat Sydney Carson and Elizabeth Ertel 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.
The win for the Panthers (6-1) came at No. 1 doubles, where Courtney Lykins and Callie Wilder topped Ayano Nomura and Emie Kiser 7-5, 6-2.
Cubs slip past Jets
MADISON — Madison won three matches in straight sets to pull out a 3-2 win against Hauser.
Abby Johnson beat Kourtney Neukam 7-6 (6), 6-2 at No. 1 singles for the Jets (4-4) Gabby Johns and Kaitlynn Everroad downed Grace Brauligan and Ana Reiff 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
Hauser’s Andie Clark fell to Wiley Gross 7-6 (3), 6-3 at No. 2 singles, and Emilee Sessions lost to Emma Lostutter 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Aunaka Wasil and Brooke Hopkins fell to Olivia Kelley and Renee Walker 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles.
Shawe edges Trinity
SEYMOUR — Madison Shawe won three matches in straight sets to hand Trinity Lutheran a 3-2 defeat.
Regan Cain won 6-4, 6-1 at No. 3 singles, and Lauren Fleetwood, Cassidy Burnside prevailed 2-6, 6-0, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles for the Cougars (2-7). Abby Schult fell 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles, Sarah Lemming lost 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2 singles and Katelyn Mensendiek, Bekah Brown fell 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.

North, Panthers tie
Columbus North and Bloomington South played to a 317-317 tie after the combined total of the top four scores and also the fifth score were identical.
Henry Kiel led the Bull Dogs with a 75. Drew Smith carded a 79, Luke Schneider added an 81, Jacob Niedbalski shot 82, Jackson Kerber had an 83, Luke VanDeventer finished with an 86, Cameron Ziegler shot 89 and Connor Williams had a 91.
Eagles outscore Lancers
EDINBURGH — Parker VanNess won medalist honors with a 1-under-par 35 to lead Brown County to a 181-213 win against Edinburgh at Timbergate.
Curtis Lookebill carded a 47 for the Eagles. Peyton Proctor added a 49, Cooper VanNess shot 50, Rex Watters had a 58 and Jake Huddleston finished with a 70.
Bladen Hancock led the Lancers with a 39. Jordan Myers carded a 56, Parker Neumann added a 57, Travis Jones shot 61, Darius Bennett had a 63 and Noah Childers finished with a 69.
SOFTBALL
Olympians fall to Irish
INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus East trailed only 2-1 after two innings, but Class 4A No. 5 Cathedral scored seven times in the third in pulling away for an 11-1, five-inning win.
Mady Foster went 3 for 3 with a double to record half of the six hits for the Olympians (4-9).
Eagles run-rule Franklin
NASHVILLE — Emma Summers threw a one-hitter to lead Brown County to a 10-0, five-inning win against Franklin.
Marley Nickels went 3 for 3 with a home run and three RBIs for the Eagles (14-0). Allison Stogsdill went 2 for 2, Adri Kritzer had a double and three RBIs and Myka Snider added two RBIs.
Panthers stop Warriors
SCOTTSBURG — Gabby Mahoney threw a one-hitter to lead Jennings County to a 4-0 win at Scottsburg.
The Panthers (13-2) managed four hits, including a double by Mahoney.
Lancers rally for win
GREENSBURG — Edinburgh trailed North Decatur 4-0 after one inning before rallying for an 8-6 win in a battle for first place in the Mid-Hoosier Conference.
Shelby Graham threw an eight-hitter for the Lancers (8-5, 5-1). Kaitlyn Bailey, Catey Streeval and Paige Burton all had a double and two RBIs.
BASEBALL
Tigers topple Crusaders
CROTHERSVILLE — Columbus Christian rallied from a 6-2 deficit to take a 7-6 lead, but Crothersville came back for a 10-8 victory.
Parker Walden went 3 for 4 with two doubles, and Branson Carr went 2 for 4 for the Crusaders (1-6). Walden and Owen Reed combined on a two-hitter.
Owls best Panthers
NORTH VERNON — Jennings County led 2-0 after two innings, but Seymour rallied for a 10-3 victory.
Cody Wilson went 2 for 3 for the Panthers (4-5).
Cougars blank Lancers
GREENSBURG — North Decatur scored nine times in the first three innings and went on to hand Edinburgh a 10-0, five-inning MHC loss.
Zach Giles and Ian Buchanan combined on a five-hitter for the Lancers (1-9, 1-5).
