The following closings for Memorial Day on Monday have been announced:
- Columbus city offices.
- Bartholomew County Courthouse and county offices.
- There will be no city trash/compost/recycling/brush collections. The collections will run one day behind with Friday’s collection being done on Saturday, June 1.
- The Columbus City Utilities office will be closed and reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday. If you have a problem with your water or sewer service, call the business office at 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts.
- The Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District offices, Columbus/Bartholomew County Recycling Center, and Bartholomew County Landfill will be closed.

Retail services at U.S. post offices throughout Indiana will be closed. Regularly scheduled mail delivery, post office box and caller services will also be suspended for the holiday.
