Carol M. Miller, 79, of Columbus, passed from this life at 1:35 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis.
Carol was born April 8, 1940, in Beulah, North Dakota, the daughter of Leo and Katherine Laible Hafner.
She was joined in marriage to Myron D. Miller April 5, 1958.
Mrs. Miller was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
A talented seamstress, Mrs. Miller enjoyed gardening, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, cooking and a competitive game of Aggravation. After traveling the world during Myron’s U.S. Army career Carol and Myron raised their family in Madison and eventually retired to Columbus, Indiana.
Mrs. Miller had a strong Christian faith and passed that faith on to her children and grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Armstrong officiating.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to time of service Saturday at the church.
Private graveside services will be held at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church Building Fund.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years; children, Kim Wilson-Bickers of Columbus, Karla (Jerry) Boruff of Collierville, TN and Marc (Mary-Caroline Peddie) Miller of Madison; grandchildren, Amy Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Abigail Wilson, Jordan Boruff, Connor Boruff, Noah Miller, Hannah Miller, Sadie Miller, Hope Miller and Jobe Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Calvin Hafner; sisters, Elaine Sturgeon and Jeanette Dobson; and a son-in-law, Greg Bickers.
