Hope police officers, assisted by Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies and Indiana State Police and DNR law enforcement have apprehended the driver of a black Jeep Grand Cherokee that led police on a chase through Hope along State Road 9 for about 15 minutes shortly before 4 p.m. today.
Police apprehended the driver after he went into a field off County Road 600N after the driver took off on foot.
Police were trying to stop the vehicle for having items falling off of it while being driven. The vehicle chase was on State Road 9, various portions of County Road 600N and fields surrounding that area.
