A Pontiac G6 reported stolen in 2017 from Jackson County was recovered following a traffic stop and arrest Thursday night in Columbus.
Columbus Police Department officers arrested the driver of the vehicle, who was identified as Kyra S. Anderson, 28, of 611 Garden St., Columbus.
At about 10 p.m., a CPD officer stopped Anderson after she was seen swerving in the area of State Road 11 and Jonathan Moore Pike. The officers spoke to the occupants of the vehicle and determined the car was improperly registered.
After checking the vehicle’s identification number, the officers determined that the Pontiac was reported stolen.
Anderson was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail where she was remanded on a preliminary charge of auto theft/receiving stolen property. She is being held on $7,500 bond.
