An American Red Cross blood donation challenge at Culver’s in Columbus exceeded expectations, the local Red Cross office said.
The event, called “Give a Pint, Get a Pint,” offered customers who gave a lifesaving donation a free pint of custard at the restaurant on Johnson Boulevard.
“The goal was to collect 12 units of blood total. We ended up collecting 17, potentially saving more than 50 lives,” said Donna Watkins of the Red Cross in Columbus.
