Don and Debbie Schroer of Columbus are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Schroer and his wife, the former Debbie Clark, were married Aug. 11, 1979 at St. John’s Lutheran — Whitecreek by Pastor Ed May.
He is self-employed as a farmer.
She is a retired registered nurse and worked at Columbus Regional Hospital.

They have three daughters, Tracey (Jason) Englelau, Jeanne (Dan) Lienhoop and the late Kristie Jo Wessel, all of Columbus; and 11 grandchildren.
