Batesville edges East
Columbus East finished ahead of Batesville in Saturday’s Greensburg Invitational, but Monday, the Bulldogs pulled out a 207-209 win over the Olympians at Otter Creek.
Lauren Steinwedel led the Olympians with a 46. Harley Gant carded a 51, Peyton Meier added a 52, Katie Hong had a 60 and Mattie Shoaf and Cristen Martinez each shot 63.
Eagles take second
NASHVILLE — Brown County finished second and Edinburgh third in a tri match at Salt Creek. Whiteland won with a 197 to 206 for the Eagles and 222 for the Lancers.
Ainslie Winton led the Eagles with a 49. Taylor Poling and Aubrey Hollander each shot 52, Annika Evenson carded a 53, Allison Stogsdill added a 56 and Abby Padgett had a 60.
Edinburgh’s Morgan Calhoun won medalist honors with a 44. Haven Link added a 54, Maddie McGaha shot 61 and Annalise Lollar had a 63.
Highlanders top Panthers
NORTH VERNON — Jennings County had its best score of the season in a 165-213 loss to No. 19 Floyd Central at St. Anne’s.
Ellie Hearne led the Panthers with a 44. Sophia Curry added a 46, Emy Ralston shot 59 and Abby Rowlett had a 64.
