CPD phone lines, power out — records division closed

10:52 A.M. update: Columbus Police Department is reporting that power has been restored and the phones are now working at the department. The CPD front desk is open, however, the records division will remain closed from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. as originally planned.

ORIGINAL STORY

Due to a partial power outage at Columbus City Hall, the Columbus Police Department Records Division will be closed for the next couple of hours.

Telephone lines at CPD are not operational at this time. Persons needing law enforcement assistance can contact the Bartholomew County Operations Center (police dispatch) at 812-379-1689 or 911 in the event of an emergency.  The department will let the community know once power is restored and the records division has reopened.
