Jail corrections officer terminated after OWI arrest

Kimberly A. Cruser

A Bartholomew County Jail corrections officer was terminated Friday after the Indiana State Police arrested her for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Kimberly A. Cruser, 42, Morgantown, was arrested at about 2 a.m. Friday by state police troopers, who have not yet released details including the location of the arrest.

Jail records indicate Cruser was charged with operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more and operating a vehicle while intoxicated — endangerment.

Cruser was released from the jail on $7,500 bond after she had been booked in at 4:25 a.m. Friday, according to jail records.

Bartholomew County Sheriff Chief Deputy, Maj. Chris Lane, confirmed that Cruser no longer worked as a corrections officer. She had been employed there since April, he said.
