JENNINGS COUNTY — The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate James Helton for the crime of intimidation with a weapon and pointing a firearm, according to the sheriff’s department.
The incident occurred on Aug. 22, 2019 in the Hayden area and where Helton is accused of pointing a firearm at an individual and making threats, the department said.
Prior to deputies’ arrival to the incident in Hayden, Helton left the area and went to his home in Jackson County which is located on county line road with Jennings County.
Deputies arrived at Helton’s residence and observed Helton’s vehicle in the driveway, the same vehicle Helton had driven to the incident in Hayden. Deputies attempted to make contact with Helton but could not get a response, deputies said.
After several attempts to call Helton out and without a response, a Jennings County search warrant was obtained to search for Helton inside of his residence, which was
