The Columbus Museum of Art and Design has announced funding opportunities to promote local art and design projects.
The museum has made $7,500 available to fund projects or experiences “that contribute to the unique legacy of Columbus.” The deadline to apply is Oct. 30.
There are no specific parameters for applications, but successful applications will propose to use the money for projects with a duration of less than one year that likely would not be possible without financial assistance.
Earlier this year, $12,700 was awarded to nine project proposals.
Previous funding has gone to the Columbus Area Arts Council for the “Learning Patterns” mural by Lulu Loquidis and Daniel Luis Martinez of LAA Office, Friends of Columbus Indiana Architectural Archives for the “Cleo Turns 50” exhibit, among other projects.
