COLUMBUS
Judith B. Watkins, 79, of Columbus passed from this life on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 3:54p.m. at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Judith was born on September 4, 1940 in South Bend, Indiana the daughter of Edward “Tweet” and Jane Blevins Tennyson.
Ms. Watkins retired from White River Broadcasting where she was an office manager. After retiring she enjoyed volunteering at Columbus Regional Hospital, Mill Race Center, and being a book buddy at Richards Elementary. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and had a great love for music, gardening, and was an avid reader.
Survivors include her daughters, Jill (Kelly Roberson) Watkins of Bloomington and Karen (Brandon) Allen of Columbus; grandchildren, Sarah (Evan) Elsbury, Ben Allen, Ashley Allen, Claire Allen; and a brother, Paul (Jan) Tennyson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Larry Tennyson.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 23rd at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Rev. Howard Boles officiating.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 2:00 p.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
In keeping with Ms. Watkins’ wishes cremation will take place prior to services.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Columbus Regional Hospital Foundation.
