Columbus police arrested a local man on multiple drug-related charges including four warrants after he was spotted riding a bicycle in Columbus on Saturday afternoon.

Officers saw Charles A. Reed, 32, of 1608 W. Shady Lane, at 4:30 p.m. Saturday near 13th Street and Sycamore Drive, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

The officers confirmed several arrest warrants for Reed and he was taken into custody a short time later. While searching a small bag that belonged to Reed, officers located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, Harris said.

Reed was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail on the preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and the four Bartholomew County arrest warrants.

Reed was being held in the jail in lieu of $74,005 bond, jail officials said.
