East closes in on title
JEFFERSONVILLE — Columbus East came within one win of another Hoosier Hills Conference title with a 4-0 win Tuesday at Jeffersonville.
Alana Dwenger, Abby Miller, Elena Stoughton and Lindsey Stoughton scored goals for the Olympians (7-3-2, 5-0-1). Jaeda Berkemeier, Emily Stiles, Maya Federle and Gabi Schuetz had assists.
East outshot the Red Devils 16-0. Karisma Parker did not face a shot in recording the shutout.
Owls shut out Panthers
SEYMOUR — Seymour outshot Jennings County 11-3 in posting a 5-0 HHC victory.
Kenna Maschino played the first half in goal for the Panthers (9-5, 1-5) and posted four saves. Tori Lee and Carissa Sabelhaus each recorded two saves in splitting time in goal in the second half.

North blanks Woodmen
GREENWOOD — Fourth-ranked Columbus North ran its record to 13-0 with a 5-0 win at Greenwood.
Nathan Lin beat Ethan Gray 5-7, 6-2, (11-9) at No. 1 singles for the Bull Dogs. Bhavey Jain downed Nick Belovic at No. 2 singles and Adam Saad topped Charlie Brooks at No. 3 singles, both by 6-1, 6-4 scores.
North’s Matthew Liu and Joey Zhao beat Ben Sobierat and Aiden Luttrell 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles. Eamon Ma and Will King downed Sam Fenner and Thomas Burtt 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.
Lancers edge Cougars
SEYMOUR — Edinburgh won three third-set supertiebreakers to pull out a 3-2 win at Trinity Lutheran.
Brayden McManaway beat Jace Crockett 4-6, 7-5, (10-8) at No. 1 singles, and Travis Jones topped Jerry Jiang 6-3, 0-6, (14-12) at No. 3 singles for the Lancers (3-8). Edinburgh’s Preston Smith and Kolton Reed outlasted Luke Pollert and Nathan Voelker 4-6, 6-4, (10-6) at No. 2 doubles.
Trinity’s Noah Voelker beat Max Blandford 6-4, 3-6, (10-4) at No. 2 singles. Cameron Grunwald and Jack VonDielingen downed Parker Newman and Chase Littlejohn 6-0,6-1 for the Cougars.

Jets sweep Spatans
HOPE — Hauser had little trouble in rolling to a 25-9, 25-7, 25-17 Mid-Hoosier Conference win against Southwestern (Shelby).
Hannah Johnson recorded 12 kills and one block, and Kylie Lock had 17 digs and one block to lead the Jets (16-5, 3-0). Aunaka Wasil notched 29 assists, Shelby Fugate and Marnie Schwartzkopf each had one block and Andie Clark served three aces.
Also for Hauser, Fugate tallied 10 kills, 12 digs and two aces. Olivia Wright pounded seven kills, Schwartzkopf added six kills, Abby Branum and Clark each had three assists, Melanie Taylor contributed nine digs and Lock served two aces.
Clovers topple Eagles
NASHVILLE — Brown County came away with a 25-15, 25-17, 25-17 Western Indiana Conference loss to Cloverdale.
Abigail Hollander led the Eagles (8-6) with 13 assists and two aces. Chloe Lee pounded eight kills, and Myka Snyder recorded seven digs.
Also for Brown County, Snyder tallied six kills and an ace, and Lauren Akles and Mary Rygiel each added three kills. Lee, Rygiel and Milly Patrick all had five digs.
Panthers snap skid
NORTH VERNON — Jennings County snapped a 10-match losing streak with a 25-16, 26-24, 25-12 win against Rushville.
Grace Ramey pounded seven kills and two solo and three assist blocks, and Hanah Bertram had 21 digs and three aces to lead the Panthers (6-15). Abi Vogel also notched seven kills, and Megan Vogel tallied 14 assists.
Also for Jennings, Carmen Kopitzke handed out six assists, and Lauren Clayton had two solo and one assist block. Karma Warren and Alaina Young each added 10 digs, and Alaina Young and Kylee Boardman each served two aces.
South Decatur falls
WALDRON — South Decatur won the first set, but Waldron rallied for a 21-25, 25-11, 25-18, 25-17 MHC victory.
Lana Bell led the Cougars with one block and three aces (2-21, 0-6). Loryn Pate pounded eight kills, Ali Jameson recorded 11 assists and Lily Rigby tallied 19 digs.
Also for South Decatur, Bell notched six kills, and Brook Somers added four kills. Whitnye Burton contributed nine assists and 13 digs, Kalie Fry had 13 digs and Rigby and Savannah Bushhorn each served one ace.
Trinity tops Tigers
SEYMOUR — Class A No. 1 Trinity Lutheran was dominant in a 25-4, 25-5, 25-3 win against Crothersville.
Paige Lawrence led the Cougars (18-5) with 43 assists, 10 digs and five aces. Kennedy Hoffman pounded 15 kills, and Hannah Sabotin had three blocks.
Also for Trinity, Sabotin recorded 11 kills and three aces, and Sydney Jaynes added 10 kills and one block. Elly Carter and Bailey Tabeling each notched 10 digs, and Ruthie Bingham served two aces.

Jets jettison Jackets
HOPE — Diego Vasquez netted two goals and an assist to lead Hauser to a 4-0 MHC win against Morristown.
Graham Kennedy and Franco Avila each added goals for the Jets (6-3, 3-2). Tyler Hollman had an assist.
Hauser outshot the Yellow Jackets 10-5. Caleb Walker posted five saves.
Seymour stops Jennings
SEYMOUR — Jennings County came away with a 3-0 HHC loss at Seymour.
Cameron Woodard recorded 14 saves for the Panthers (1-12, 0-5).
