Three arrested after warrant served by SWAT team in Columbus

Three people were arrested on felony drug charges after police served a warrant Monday afternoon in Columbus.

The Columbus Police Department SWAT Team, which consists of officers from CPD and the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department, served the search warrant at 2910 14th St., after a lengthy investigation by the Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team into the manufacturing and selling of methamphetamine, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Methamphetamine, as well as a large amount of currency, was recovered by officers.

The following individuals were arrested:

  • Don A. Christenberry, 62, of Columbus, on preliminary charges of dealing in methamphetamine (5-10 grams), possession of methamphetamine (5-10 grams), maintaining a common nuisance, possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Jennifer S. Christenberry, 64, of Columbus, on preliminary charges of dealing in methamphetamine (5-10 grams), possession of methamphetamine (5-10 grams), maintaining a common nuisance, possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Jack A. Roscigno, 54, of Columbus, on preliminary charges of dealing in methamphetamine (5-10 grams), possession of methamphetamine (5-10 grams), maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia

SWAT and JNET were assisted during this investigation by officers from the CPD Intelligence Led Policing Unit, Columbus Police Department Uniform Division, Columbus Police Department K-9 Division, as well as officers from the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office.

The Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team, a combined unit of the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, the Columbus Police Department and the Bartholomew County Prosecutor’s Office is targeting the manufacturing and abuse of dangerous drugs in Columbus and Bartholomew County.
