Columbus
As the local general election nears, I wish to publicly share my support for Josh Burnett for Columbus City Council at-large.
I have found Josh to be committed and supportive of the recovery movement locally. Volunteering with the jail Residents Encounter Christ program, participating in recovery awareness events and personally coming alongside individuals desiring to take next steps with their recovery have demonstrated his true desire to improve our community. In short, Josh places action behind his talk which is something I believe every citizen desires.
Within the past year, I was also impressed with Josh’s efforts to support the newly-established IUPUC Mental Health Clinic. Josh demonstrated his intentionality of expanding mental health services locally by personally coordinating the fundraising of approximately $40,000 for the clinic. Josh’s efforts were a huge boost to the clinic as well as displayed the need for increased effective mental health education.
As many know, Josh established the Celebrate Columbus project which became a massive effort to truly celebrate the diversity and incredible value of individuals in our community.
As someone with a proven record of investment in our community, and has also demonstrated sustained effort, I highly recommend you give him your vote on Election Day.
