Ice Arena to host skating lessons, hockey leagues
Registration for the Fall House League Hockey at Hamilton Community Center and Ice Arena is under way.
Cost is $220 for a full season and $120 for a half-season. Full Season House League runs from Oct. 22 through Feb. 29. Fall Half Season runs from Tuesday through Dec. 21. Players can practice from 5:45 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays or Thursdays or 6:45 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and games will be between 8 and 11:45 a.m. Saturdays.

Tickets available for Slow Pitch Hall of Fame Banquet
The Inaugural Class of 2019 Columbus Indiana Slow Pitch Softball Hall of Fame Banquet will be Nov. 2 at The Eagles. Happy hour starts at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and then the ceremonies for the 14 inductees.

Senior holding Run/Walk to help cancer patient
Columbus East football, basketball and track athlete Seth Chandler is raising money through Inheritance of Hope for Tony Pottorff, a teacher and cross-country coach who is battling breast cancer.
Chandler is hosting the Inheritance of Hope 5K Run/Walk at noon Saturday at the East football field and track. Entry fee is $30 and includes a t-shirt.

East golf teams hosting Chili-Dip Open fundraiser
The 2019 Fall Chili-Dip Open fundraiser for the Columbus East boys and girls golf teams will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 2 at Otter Creek Golf Course.
Cost is $60 per person and includes greens fees, cart, chili and other goodies. Bonus package is $20 and includes three mulligans, a chance to win $300 cash and other raffle prizes. Proceeds go toward golf instruction for the winter months and to help purchase uniforms, golf bags and pay for expenses for the Olympian golf teams.

Hoosier Pro Wrestling to host cheer fund toy drive
Hoosier Pro Wrestling will return Nov. 2 to the Bartholomew County 4-H Fairgrounds for its 21-Year Anniversary show and its 16th Annual Firemen’s Cheer Fund Toy Drive.
Doors open at 7 p.m., and bell time is 7:45 p.m. Admission is $13, with kids 4 and under free.
Ceraland to host Hoosier Trails 5K run/walk event
The Fifth Annual Hoosier Trails 5K Run/Walk will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 9 on the cross-country course at Ceraland.
Registration is $20 in advance and also will be available from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. the morning of the event. Proceeds will benefit Hoosier Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America.
