Terrie C. Cox, 74, of Columbus, died at 11:13 p.m. October 24, 2019, at her home.
Terrie was born November 3, 1944, in Columbus, the daughter of Dayton Lester and Caddie C. Daily Wiley. She married Larry O. Cox June 5, 1966.
She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church where she was choir director and enjoyed working with the youth of the church. Terrie enjoyed gardening, crafting and NASCAR. She also enjoyed riding horses and camping, and loved cooking and being at the ocean.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Lay officiating. Calling will be 1:30 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday. In keeping with Terrie’s wishes, cremation is planned.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in memory of Terrie.
Survivors include her husband, Larry; sons, Patrick M. (Michelle) Cox and John C. Cox and a daughter, Carrie D. (Chris) Thompson, all of Columbus; and grandchildren, Jordan Cox, Delaney Thompson, Luke Thompson, Kendall Thompson and Brooke McClintic.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Michael Wiley.
