A local man is in custody after he was accused of cutting two people with a knife during an argument outside of a house on Sunday evening.

At approximately 8:45 p.m., Columbus police officers were sent to a residence in the 1400 block of Chestnut Street in regards to a disturbance.

Once officers arrived, they spoke to two adults who advised that they were cut in the stomach with a knife during an argument with Eddie J. Brown, 57, of Columbus, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Their injuries were not life threatening and they were treated by paramedics at the scene, Harris said.
