North shocks Tigers

LAWRENCEBURG — Columbus North limited previously unbeaten Lawrenceburg to 10 points in the first half on its way to a 42-26 road victory Friday night.

“I think our first-half defense was really good,” North coach Pat McKee said. “We limited them to one shot most of the time, which was a really good thing.”

Annie Anderson and Alexa McKinley each scored 10 points to lead the Bull Dogs (12-7).

Panthers rout Tigers

NORTH VERNON — Kali Thompson scored a career-high 25 points to lead Jennings County to a 75-40 win against Crothersville.

Lily Ernstes added 11 points for the Panthers (6-11).

Trinity tops Eagles

SEYMOUR — Class A No. 2 Trinity Lutheran made 8 of 10 free throws in the fourth quarter to hang on for a 54-47 win against Brown County.

Hannah Sabotin led the the Cougars (19-2) with 15 points and 17 rebounds. Bailey Tabeling added 14 points, and Sydney James had 11 points.

Abby Fleetwood led the Eagles (13-3) qwith 19 points.

Bull Dogs fall

MOORESVILLE — Class 4A No. 9 Columbus North fell behind 14-3 after one quarter and couldn’t recover in a 53-46 loss at Mooresville.

Blake Barker led the Bull Dogs (11-3) with 12 points. Cooper Horn added 10.

Panthers roll to win

NORTH VERNON — Carson McNulty scored a career-high 27 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Jennings County to an 82-47 rout of Crothersville.

Jacob Vogel added 16 points for the Panthers (6-5). Trey Wilson scored 10.

Cougars edge Chargers

GREENSBURG — Class 2A No. 5 South Decatur rallied from a nine-point deficit midway through the fourth quarter to remain unbeaten with a 78-75 Mid-Hoosier Conference win at North Decatur.

Hunter Johnson led the Cougars (12-0, 2-0) with 23 points. Evan Wullenweber scored 16, while Tyler Sporleder added 12, Dominic Walters had 11 an Lane Lauderbaugh finished with 10.
