Reva B. Barnsfather, 75, of Columbus passed from this life on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 5:50 a.m. at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Reva was born on June 14, 1944 in Jackson County the daughter of William J. and Helen (Fleetwood) George. On December 30, 1983 she married Gebus Barnsfather.

She retired in 2004 after 43 years from Arvin Industries. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and the Ladies of the Moose #358. She was a big Indiana Pacers fan and loved going to garage sales and thrift stores. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and quilting.

Survivors include her sons, Bryan (Dan) Bannister of Indianapolis, Jason (Shannon) Bannister of Columbus, Alex (Rachael) Bannister of Columbus; step-daughter, Carol (Glen) Betz of Columbus; three grandchildren, Samantha Andrews, Matthew (Bethany) Andrews, Alexis Bannister; step-grandchildren, Ashley (Ryan) Haag, Jeremy (Angie) Emmitt, Dylan Prather; seven great grandchildren; sister, Reta Wetherald of Columbus; special friend, Linda Adams; and her adored cats, Maurey, Molly, and Ozzie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gebus Barnsfather on October 27, 2018; sister, Mary Blanford; two brothers, Lee George and William K. George; niece, Jenni Wetherald; and a nephew, Rick Allen.

Funeral services will be at 5:00 p.m. on Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Kevin Brown officiating.

Family and friends may call from 2:00 p.m. till time of service on Monday at the funeral home.

In keeping with the Mrs. Barnsfather’ s wishes, cremation will take place following the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Bartholomew County Humane Society or Our Hospice.

Private inurnment will be at the Garland Brook Cemetery.
