More than 2.2 million Girl Scout cookie packages are being delivered this week to cities around Indiana, including Columbus.
Girl Scouts will begin delivering pre-ordered cookies as soon as they receive them, according to the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana. Troop-run cookie booths in grocery stores and other local retailers are expected to begin in mid-February through mid-March. Cost is $5 per package.
Girl Scout troops will take credit and debit cards at most booth sale locations courtesy of First Financial Bank.
Also, Girl Scouts are selling cookies for Operation: Cookie Drop, a council-wide service project to support the local military, veterans and first responders. Last year, 76,000 packages of Girl Scout cookies were donated.
