Staff Reports
The Bartholomew County Student Historians used their day off from school Monday to honor The Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. by volunteering at the club’s sponsoring organization, the Bartholomew County Historical Society.
Volunteer students in grades seven through 12 placed historic photos in sleeves, tagged the Arvin collection from Larry Ruble with accession numbers, scanned photographs and entered information into a computer spread sheet. Six members of the Student Historians groupparticipated.
Historical Society officials said they were grateful for the students’ time and effort which amounted to 20 hours of volunteer work, saving staff time to work on other projects.
