NORTH VERNON
Thomas Michael McCauley, 86, of North Vernon, died Friday, January 31 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Tom was born June 17, 1933 at home on College Street in North Vernon, attended St. Mary’s School and was a graduate of North Vernon High School, veteran of the United States Airforce and a retiree of Cummins Engine Company after 30 years of service.
Son of John D. and Blanche (McClellan) McCauley, he married Elizabeth M. Ashton who passed in 2018.
He was also preceded in death by brothers Harold, Jack, Donald and Patrick McCauley and sister Eleanor (McCauley) Dorsett.
Tom will be remembered by his children; Mark (Josie) McCauley and Dawn (Robert) Lewis, grandchildren; Kayla, (Aaron) Knue and Rob Lewis, and two great grandchildren.
Per Tom’s wishes, no services are planned. Cremation services will be provided by Sawyer – Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service with interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery at a later date.
